[Game Thread] 5.17 vs. the Gulls

Every game is important. Don't know much about these guys, other than they have some big bodies, & a coach we all know. Need to get off to a good start.

Good ol Eakins. I still see him taking a nasty shot into the boards in the double overtime cup winning game in 2002. I think he got a concussion in that one. Hope he's okay now but I'd love to give him a headache by sending his team packing.

Go WOLVES!
For a really bad officiating job call Harry Dumas. Contact the AHL for further details or other incomp-o-tant striped shirt idiots.

They have 3 guys in the top 10 in scoring for the playoffs. Also Dansk and Glas are pretty even in the net as well. As far as special teams is concerned:

The Wolves have been shorthanded 29 times and 6 goals against
SD have been shorthanded 30 times with 5 goals against.

The Wolves on the PP have scored 9 goals on 42 attempts
SD on the PP have scored 8 goals on 32 attempts.

Wolves have not yielded a shorty against, while SD has given up 1 shorty so far.

In the Playoffs in 11 games the Wolves have scored 33 and given up 31
SD in 10 games have scored 42 and given up 30.

In the Playoffs SD have scored 5+ goals 4 times and lost one of those games 7-6 to Bakersfield.

In their 10 games, 4 have gone to OT with one going to 2 OT's and 1 going to 4 OT's

Happy to help! Hopefully the Wolves can win the first two at home. That will makes things a little easier going forward.

And miss out from playing Milwaukee and Rockford 12 times this season?

San Diego even flew into town so they could play Milwaukee and Iowa.

LOL. Could have made a stop in the AA, as it would have been nice. I heard a rumor that teams had to pick up some of the cost for them(and others in that division) to fly in and play. Is that true or just a rumor I heard while at the AA for a game?

I hadn't heard that one. They did swing out here last year because they played Milwaukee, Iowa, and us.
