Great chance to keep these guys down in the standings and help keep them out of the playoffs

Yes because with the hawks not making the playoffs they will get a lot of skaters getting sent down to them. Don't need a replay of last year.

Mission accomplished today. Who could the Hawks send down?

Anyone that is on a 2 way contract, which would be anywhere from a 1/3 to 1/2 of their roster approx. There are other teams in our division, that will be doing this.

f

I didn't realize it was so much. That kind of skews the playoffs for the AHL. It's like playing men's hockey and playing really well as a team and then you have to play against a bunch of teams with who show up with a bunch of ringers

this is wrong. only players on the piggies roster at the trade deadline are eligible to be sent down.

the only player papered to qualify is dylan sikura who was already sent down and now dennis gilbert who was recalled today.

Thanks for clarifying that. Hogs have a tough road ahead. 3 pts out of 4th with 3 teams ahead of them in the standing and most remaining games on the road. Would break my heart if they miss the playoffs

That's not good. Both the parent and the minor league team not making the playoffs, that doesn't bode well for the future.
