12.1 vs San Antonio
Not the finest night for Dansk. Should have stopped 3 of the first four goals

Re: 12.1 vs San Antonio
This was a team you should have beaten easily. 4 goals on 10 shots is unacceptable, not sure why you wouldn’t change goalies going into the 3rd.

Re: 12.1 vs San Antonio
Rampage didn't shoot much but a lot of them went in. The back breaker was the 5th goal by Nolan right after the Wolves cut it to 1. 2 on 1, D (Whitecloud?) played it right giving Dansk a clear look at the shooter but Dansk missed it. Game got a little chippy in parts too.
Puck was bouncing a lot too, probably bad ice because of the concert the night before. Wolves just couldn't put a fork in it on some of the chances.

The Wolves as a whole have not played well the last 3 weeks and last night may have been the worst performance of the season so far....

This team needs a serious wake up call soon or this will turn into a lost season quickly

horrible performance today.....
are we just the smallest team in the league or is our coaching staff simply not making any adjustments....

Re: 12.1 vs San Antonio
It seems after they whalloped Rockford 7-2 & Carr got called up, we can't play at all. There is an injury (Matteau) that isn't helping either.

Re: 12.1 vs San Antonio
On most of the goals, it was lazy play or defensive break downs. What is most disturbing is that when the Wolves score they seem to relax and bang it's in the back of their net and they are down again. There is a lot of hustle out there at times but then they seem to lose their intensity. It comes down to consistency and playing the full 60 minutes. This is a different team then what we saw early in the year. I'm not sure what happened. Hague is making me crazy.

Re: 12.1 vs San Antonio
Yes I'd be surprised if the loss of two players Carr and Matteau would be such a huge difference.

Re: 12.1 vs San Antonio
We lost Carr but got Hyka back. Matteau's size and physical play is missed but he's not the reason for a complete turn south.

Re: 12.1 vs San Antonio
We definitely lead the league in giving up a goal within one minute of scoring our own........

3Ws ......Weis, Wong and Wagner all play hard but lack finishing skills and are tiny.
Tynan and Brannstrom have skills but are also tiny......
I haven't seen another team with 5 tiny guys.

Re: 12.1 vs San Antonio
Coghlan, Pirri and Quinney are on the small/medium dividing line.
Hague, while tall, is young, thin and learning as he becomes a man.
our defense might be the smallest in the league, I think we miss Oligny the most right now.

Re: 12.1 vs San Antonio
Carr gets called up, Quinney & Macek are stuck in the mud, without that line scoring has really hurt us. Matteau provides grit every shift, that's important.
Taking dumb penalties is still plaguing us, defencive lapses & mediocre goaltending isn't helping either.

Re: 12.1 vs San Antonio
Are lines "stuck in the mud" or have we made no adjustments to our systems/set ups and plays and the other teams have us read like a book and can simply shut lines down?

Re: 12.1 vs San Antonio
Lack of size and speed are definitely showing as the season goes on. These guys are mirroring the Hawks right now...every lapse winds up in the back of the net, they just need to be better one on one, know their assignments, and finish their chances.

Are they really that much slower then the other teams? I haven't noticed the speed difference that much. I think size is a draw back for sure. I thought this team had solved their size issue when they changed affiliations. Looks like LV has gone back to that game plan

They just seem to be a step slower. I notice it on odd man rushes where they're either getting caught from behind or can't close on an attacking forward while defending. It's not a huge difference but a step is all it takes. They were a much bigger team during the StL years, especially on the blue line. Vegas isn't stocked with guys 6' 4" and bigger like the Blues were.

I see that too just thought that they were waiting for guys to get into the play. That dosen't bode well for these guys getting into the NHL that is even faster.

That was the only time the Wolves had a big team if I remember right. I thought the NHL was going bigger, I'm surprised LV has been drafting so small. There must be a small talent pool of big fast skilled players
